Our Story

The World of Opportunity was founded after our president and director engaged in volunteer work in Mombasa, Kenya. They fell in love with working with new communities and making an impactful difference in communities that do not have access to the same resources most of us have.

After coming back to the U.S., our vice president and secretary quickly became involved, wanting to volunteer their time and energy to help support this orphanage. They were able to gather a group of volunteers to help make our first community fundraising event a success. Due to the help of our amazing volunteers, we were able to make this an official organization and eventually plan to expand to working with impoverished communities all over the world.
